Chicago architect Searl and Associates recently completed an extensive renovation of a single family home in a northern Chicago suburb, saving the home from a pending demolition and planned replacement. Using the existing form as a blank canvas, Linda Searl and her team, lead by architect Greg Howe, took a simple colonial home resting on a 1/2 acre corner lot, and infused it with a clean, contemporary floor plan with striking visual details.
